Can’t claim to be terribly knowledgeable of Lemmy either, but could it be the setting that hides read posts hiding it from you?

When you say “room temperature”, do you actually mean literal room temperature, or just slightly warm/lukewarm? Because people will generally take way more issue with room temperature coffee (that feels cool in your mouth) than simply warm-ish coffee.
