Dumb Phones

My phone was 5 years old when I got it second hand. What really would a new one give at this point? Just look for the supported device list on calyx/graphene/etc and pick one that fits your budget that you can get second hand.

Depending on what google do over the coming years I may just go back to a brick phone and get a small cheap laptop with Linux on it to carry around for anything fun. Backpack with a power bank for mains voltage perhaps? Some low spec laptops have pretty low power requirements though.

New NHS rules disguise deliberate mistreatment as common sense
Any time you hear "common sense" used to describe a policy you need to question deeper what they mean by that.
Usually some excuse to deny the existence of people.

Liz Truss schooled on live TV as she denies blame for mini-Budget catastrophe
She is the reason my mortgage cost several hundred a month more when I bought a house a few years ago.

They created the middle class to act as a buffer between the working class and a front line to defend their interests

Meanwhile the middle class bots on reddit are endlessly crying about the UK raising the minimum wage. Yeah, how dare the poor get anything if it might slightly impact those on over £40k.
Genuinely heard complaints that we can't raise the minimum wage because it will make the cost of living worse.
No longer on minimum wage myself, but I say crank it as hard as fucking possible, to just below the point it actually causes a significant increase in unemployment. Currently under 5% so its clearly NOT too high yet. I have enough now, I want the guy stacking the shelves in Tesco to have enough too.

I don't really know if I want cheap american things either. Maybe if they become more normal first.

Depends what you define it as. Willing to vote against the working class to benefit themselves starts from way lower.

Camden High Street will be permanently pedestrianised
I hope they keep/make decent bike lanes at least nearby

How was your week?
Trying to find waterproof trousers I can cycle in that actually fit. Sports direct refuse to give a refund, just a useless credit note and ordering another size online has extra delivery fees.

Well some sides want genocides and some sides want no genocides. So they will call some genocides a compromise.
