isn't the simpliest way to increase eprivacy simply to turn off phones when we leave the house, when we don't expect a call?

yeah the next step is to just leave it at home, as there are many anti theft features that phone have to track it while it’s turned off. but at that point, why even a phone?

privacy is about balance and forgoing certain pieces of data for specific services. you find what you feel comfortable with and then resist giving more information than needed.

Do you think that Lemmy will last or will it die in a few weeks?

agreed, is there any way to fix this?

i’m fairly certain that it really just depends on the google web crawlers to find and index pages. but if the posts are public that’s just a matter of time.

even with reddit, a post has a new URL so takes some time to be indexed by google or other search engines.

so maybe it’s just a matter of delivering relevant content over time so that lemmy results get preferred over others
