MBTA's new Green Line Extension problems worse than reported, Eng reveals
I hope there are consequences for the people that decided to install crossties that were known to be defective, some kind of civil or criminal liability. I also hope that the GLX contractors were required to post some kind of warranty bond, because they're definitely going to try to wriggle their way out of fixing their fuckup.

I had vote buttons on the left in dense post view. Then I went fiddling with the view settings and they disappeared after changing views, and I don't see which option brings them back. Am I just an idiot and can't see it?

Just as the title says. I tap it, nothing happens. Tried on a bunch of different comments. The FAB to add a top-level comment still works though. I don't see any update in the Play store, and no change when I cleared storage for the app.
User elon_musk is mod of (has created?) 70 communities, but doesn't appear to be active in any of them
I'm mostly concerned about https://lemmy.world/c/newhampshire because I'm from there, but they're on a range of location and interest communities. Where's the line for community mod-squatting?
Emergency crews respond after flames spotted on tracks near Tufts Medical Center MBTA station
Electrical arc from the third rail caused a small fire on the track and delays between noon and 2 PM. No, the trains themselves didn't catch fire (this time).
Is this community going to be about organizing and taking action, or just memes and screenshots of tweets?
I'm all for reforming our current work system, but we need organized action. Can we make that happen here? Or is there a different community for that?
Can I set the default filter to subscribed?
There's a lot of stuff I don't really care about. I'd like to see just what I'm subscribed to.
