In Vietnam, at least in the cities, they're part of traffic - moving with the licensed cars and motorbikes ... that's not the case in Spain

Yeah, I was just reading an article about LGBT meeting places getting extra scrutiny from the police in China this year ... it doesn't sound like the pendulum is swinging in a positive direction :-/
It's good to hear that people aren't being penalised for tattoos now, though ... I didn't notice anyone with obvious ones when I was in Shanghai, but that was literally a combination of airport, hotel, fancy restaurant, and offices >_<

That's good to hear :-)
Edit: also, pretty much how I've been received in the bits of Asia I've been to so far - I'm weird, but it's ok because I'm not a local.
That being said, in Vietnam I've encountered queer and tattooed people having a good life ... I didn't see that in Singapore or when I dipped my toes in Shanghai, but then I was only in those places for a couple of days of work :-/

I've not seen that in Spain ... mostly there we have kids on fold-up type scooters on the pavements, they aren't in the middle of 4 lanes of traffic cutting off cars

What's the best 4-day weekend?
Friday to Monday, because then there's two 4-day weeks

Do you ask polyamorous people they're polyamorous?
From my point of view, best to ask early. But then, I'd want to tell someone anyway, if things were heading past light flirting.
I don't know if a monogamous person might be offended by the question though (?)

Harmful stereotypes die hard, I guess >:-(
I'm sorry you had to put up with that ... hopefully you don't get it in China for being foreign!

Being from a 100% white provincial area if the UK, I learned the basics of treating others with respect from Sesame Street ... in the early 80s :-/

Also, a certain amount of working together / helping each other out / supporting each other emotionally. Because you want them to thrive, and vice-versa.

I this nk the Bhutan flag might be one of the best real flags I've ever seen!
Thanks for putting me onto that, lol

If you don't mind gay men hitting on you, you may not be representative of typical monogamists, lol
Also, not sure about a young person's game ... I'd love to have one or two more people in my life, and I'm 48. Can't see that changing any time soon

"schlitzaugen" ... seriously, WTF?! Even when I was little, before I'd met any Asian people at all, I knew that was not cool.
Of the very few other Europeans I've seen while working here, a couple have acted weirdly superior to the locals, so maybe I shouldn't be that surprised :-(
Now I'm curious for how the subtle jealousy manifests in Canada, lol

Also, according to the handkerchief code, our girl there enjoys receiving fisting.
Yes, I went and looked it up, lol

At least it has a dragon. Scotland's flag is sorely missing a unicorn, and others are lacking in mythical creatures too :-/

Yup. Also, Vietnamese parents dropping off very little kids outside school mostly just plop them down on the pavement outside, say bye, and ride off.
Boys on unplated electric scooters are a liability though, I've seen loads of them getting into crashes

Well, they get offended by some things that seem quite alien to me, so I don't know what is or isn't ok

I have insight into the university issue, but that's a bit academic to this conversation (pun intended)
Anywho, yeah, having been through a somewhat resistant immigration process, it's definitely not fun :-/
I wish people in general had more freedom to follow their hearts and go to the right place for them. Very much a pipe dream.
When I said about being comfortable in China, I was thinking about the racism in Canada ... I have family there and they say it's worse than Europe. And it's bad enough in Europe.

Anyone ever heard this?
My wife's dog doesn't like people ... any people. She's scared of us if we put on a hat, or it's dark, or she's just not feeling it for some random reason.
Meanwhile, my dog only likes me and one old man who lives in our village. She barely tolerates my wife, will nip other women, and be even more aggressive to men.
The joys of rescue dogs. We knew what we were signing on to, but it's a lot of work.
