How do I keep my fence from settling so much?

I'm in Austin Texas. We installed a fence three years ago and the posts between the gate door have shifted about four inches. This makes closing the door a pain in the ass, as the latch quickly becomes misaligned. A few times a year I move the latch bracket down to align it with the other part of the latch. My fence post is full of holes, and along with the constant slamming necessary when it gets out of line, it has started splitting.

How do I end this cycle? How do I keep it from moving so much?

Max MSP?

Let's kick off some discussion in here!

I've been tryinging to learn MAX for the last couple months. Building simple synth is cool, but I've stalled out. It looks like my local community college offers a class, so I'm hoping to get some more intentional learning in beyond YouTube videos.

What do you do with Max?

Avatars! Let's get into it.

One thing I missed during the reddit era was user avatars. I always found it much easier to recognize posters this way. The lack of avatars next to a post made that whole era feel faceless. I'm glad avatars are included in profiles, and I think they should be brought back into the main UI.

I currently use Connect on Android, which puts a small (10x10px approx) avatar next to names. It would be cool to have an option to enlarge this, but it seems like a step forward.

What are the cybersecurity weaknesses of the Fediverse?

Most of us are Reddit refugees, and probably clicking more random links than we ever did before on websites we've never seen before. This whole experience feels like the old internet, but also throws up insane red flags with a modern internet perspective. What are the cybersecurity weaknesses we should all be looking for, and what are the best practices?

Here's my reason for posting this. As I search for new communities across instances to follow, I sometimes end up clicking a link and I'm no longer logged in. In the corner, that could be a Sign In link or it could be phishing. It's likely due to me not understanding how to properly navigate this system, but there's nothing stopping someone from setting up a sight like this as far as I know.

Thoughts?
