Do you think bad weather is a good reason for moving?
I would love to leave the south for cooler climates but I have too much family here so heat stroke it is.

What to know before Dual Booting Windows + Linux?
The simplest and the most windows like in looks distro would be Linux mint, it's probably better than trying Ubuntu or other distros for your first experience with Linux.
If you want a challenge then go for it but just letting you know it's better start off with a few wins under your belt then getting freaked out by complex systems like fedora made for advanced users.

Switching to here for lemmy.world since I joined it when it was still fresh, now it's overloaded on a daily basis at this point

You become a shut in during summer because it's constantly 90+°F outside and AC keeps breaking

Thats my contribution, and still going
I was curious, is there a way to set it up to always for PC to boot up and start peer sharing, I always use torrents for downloading movies on a road trips on laptop but leaving it over night I always only get a ratio of 0.5 or something.
I'm not the most familiar with torrents and a like, since I rarely go on road trips, but I love foss and would love to contribute somehow, I know that I can donate but I already struggle to pay rent >_<
I run Linux mint on both PC and laptop btw.

Does .999… = 1?
If I have a cake and I divided it to 3 pieces, if 1/3 is .333 and 3 pieces equals .999, where is the .001?
It's on the knife you used to cut with.

Community types that I wish I could mass-block the most (don't downvote me if you do like some of them-- we're all different :P ). Tell me yours!

I somehow did that. It was a long time ago...

Never had sequels but I was able to repeat the same dream years apart, it would happen every time I binge watched a zombie apocalypse show

zsh or fish for an intermediate Linux user?
I daily drive Linux mint and love using fish, I do have a custom built NAS but I rarely ssh into it, so I'm not limited by it, but as some mention that if you're a dev and do a lot of SSH/remote controlling then it might work against you if you form too many habits.

Do you pay with cash or card?
In the US, I mainly use card at stores, but I like buying things from FB marketplace and tend to use cash unless seller doesn't want to use cash.

Audio on imac running Linux is not as good as on MacOS
I learned that PopOs runs best on iMac with least amount of problems, I don't know if that will fix audio but you can always download PopOs on a flash drive and boot to it to try out without installing it on drive.

Does this apply to humans too? Instead of asking I'll just kill them to count their ribs, seems logical enough at least /s
