I struggle to finish story-heavy games

Yeah I struggle too. For me the problem happens because I have a limited amount of time to play, and if I have any large gaps between playtime I'm likely to start the game from the beginning to start fresh.

It's also why I really appreciate recaps on load screens, like with dragon quest XI.

Young gamers in Japan may not be forming the same attachment to Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest because modern dev cycles are as long as their childhood, users theorize - AUTOMATON WEST

I mean, when games take a long time to come out and then still have serious flaws (looking at you starfield) can you blame anyone for not feeling too attached to a franchise? God I remember when veilguard was first announced after Inquisition... Announced, cancelled to be reworked into live service, cancelled again only to completely change everything that really made it a DA game.

Can you use Linux today without the terminal?

So I am a new Linux user (Bazzite) and what I have experienced so far is that for my daily driver use I don't need the terminal at all. But the moment I want to do anything even slightly more complex, or even just to use a program I want that is not in bazaar, all the user documentation gives me terminal commands.

So while I am sure it is possible, in reality the terminal still remains prominent and it feels really important to know to use it.

The Weekly 'What are you playing?' Discussion

I've been playing Marvel Midnight Suns since buying it during a sale and man I cannot believe I missed this game around release, it's incredible!

I'm not very familiar with marvel outside of the older cartoons and some of the MCU, so I find myself very surprised to find myself really enjoying the non-avengers cast here.

I had never even heard of Magik before this game, and I didn't know Blade was marvel. Also I love this version of ghost rider. The skull helmet is badass.

In any case I'm shocked at how well the cross between XCOM and a deck builder plays, every character feels distinct from each other while the decks can be customized to lean into different parts of their kit. (Except for Deadpool. I can't seem to make his kit work very well )

The story is pretty meh though I love hanging out with the large cast between missions. It can feel pretty disjointed though, especially with the dlc missions sprinkled in.

Palestinian Relief Bundle by ghosthunter and 358 others

For anyone buying this bundle, or has ever purchased one before, the bundle browser is an essential way to sort and find what games you own.

https://randombundlegame.com/

You can filter games by what was in previous bundles so you can see what purely new games you are getting and what are dupes.

But seriously, don't be afraid to dive in and try the many, MANY games made by small indie devs. This is a great way to discover hidden gems that otherwise might not ever get a chance, and other small projects which might not be your typical game but an interesting experience regardless.

I did the same thing. The 30% increase felt about right to make parry difficult without being frustratingly hard.

I respect that parry is supposed to be hard but the timings felt absolute bullshit to be honest.
