This might work better as a game if there were some other framing narrative or mechanic of how to get the belts, like challenges or choices that have options to, say, either improve your rank or pass up advancing for something spicy. Or even taking a page out of the sizegames format and scaling the belts like that. Without that, it's basically just "Hey, you do karate? No? Ha, you're a loser," and that's not really a game.
Or maybe I'm reading it wrong and it's a "how many do you think you can beat in a hypothetical fight" kinda question? I dunno, I guess I'm just confused on the formatting here.
