It doesn't even show up in that list for me. Reddit shows up after top 50. I guess the list is made based on your geographic location as well.

Most of the clients I've used could do that (Connect, Voyager, Sync). You just have to go and look through the settings. Also the Lemmy web UI can hide read posts too. Just go to your account settings and untick the "show read posts" option

But still shows the display name (if a user has one) before the instance tag though. What OP meant I guess was just showing the original username (even the user has set a display name)
