A bit of fun: throw boulders at the tech bros!
What high score can you get? (It gets progressively harder - they appear for shorter and shorter times - and the game finishes when they are too fast). You can play it on your mobile phone too.
We don't condone violence! This is just a bit of 8-bit fun.
hi everyone, We're on a mission to get as many people off Big Tech products as we can, and as many people away from the surveillance economy. And since that starts early we've made this page for parents to find the best tech tips to keep their children safe.
[Note on social media: we do not support a ban for social media, we think the tech companies should fix their products instead. But since that will probably never happen, and the best option - never use social media - is probably not practical for many families, we've listed alternatives on this page.]
We welcome any tips that parents here can share - stuff that's worked for you to keep your children safe from big tech. It doesn't have to be app alternatives - it can be habits / mindset stuff too. Or it could be stuff that's not worked / pitfalls.
Please also let us know if anything currently on the page looks wrong or misleading.
Be mindful that this is aimed at totally non-technical-minded parents.
Thank you!
Here's a year-long programme to get yourself off Big Tech products, step-by-step.
Many here will already have done this, but please share with your friends and family who are still yet to take that journey.
Let's stop feeding the (data) beast! This movement requires huge numbers of people to do it, to be really effective, so all upvoting is appreciated 😀

Our latest blog post is aimed at people who 'get it' about online privacy, but who struggle to convince friends and family to take it seriously. We hope it helps!

Has anyone here managed to set up the email for their Ghost blog, that you hosted using Pikapods? We're using Mailgun, but cannot get it all to work.
I've been trying for ages - no luck. First we're trying to just get it to be able to send the email invite for a new staff member. won't do that. Haven't even got to the bulk emails yet (though I have inputted the Mailgun API key to Ghost).
hi everyone,
I was just about to self-host a Ghost blog but then was warned that my ISP might change my external IP address at any time, so I would need to pay for a static IP address.
Is that true?
(I'd not seen much about that in stuff I've looked up so far about self hosting)
Does anyone know if it's possible to cobble together an experience that's like the Positive Grid Spark (small amp with fx modelling) but also able to run a cable out to my 4x12 ?
All those modelling amps only output to powered speakers 😒
And the PG Spark has Facebook and Google trackers in the app that comes with it 🤢
I've got a Line 6 Toneport UX1 from back in the day - and I love the tones from the amp modelling software that comes with, but that needs to be hooked up to a Windows computer, which is a faff.
I basically want that system but packaged into an amp box with a touch screen, and a line out to my 4x12. That would be sick.
Are there any competitors to Positive Grid that are building something like that?
Tasks.org is an amazing app but it's android only. I've got the back ups showing up on my linux machine via syncthing, but is there a tasks app that can use them?
Please help promote the hashtags #Deadline2025, #BigTechWalkout2025 and #Reclaim2025 to reach those still using big tech platforms.
And share this great video that a friend of mine made showing how lame the big techbros really are.
If we starve big tech of data, their power diminishes.
Our tech map is European-centric so I thought this community would like to see it. Scroll down a bit on the linked page.
All suggestions for updates welcome!
Well, wouldn't you know it - leopards ate their face!
