Breaking Down the New Stupid Ageist Californian Law that Requires Age Verification at OS account setup
'Age verification' is a thin pretext for the real purpose: mandating an API that allows remote access and control of the operating system.

[US] Congress is trying to pass a number of bills which will restrict online speech, the use of encryption, and the ability to develop blockchain technology. Make your voice heard!
Rather let them hear boots.

If the FCC Bans Burner Phones, It Could Be a Privacy Nightmare
It would not be a privacy nightmare for me. I would just refuse to own a phone. Privacy problem solved.
I know a man who still uses a flip phone and has never owned a smart phone and never had an Internet connection. No android or ios, no apps. He lives completely without Internet and computers and he is doing just fine.
I also lived using only a flip phone and without Internet for several years. In that time I accomplished more than half my life prior.

If you have millions to throw at a IP attorney, you stand a good chance of the judge telling you that your case is dismissed because the other party is richer than you.

Same garbage in USA. A group of shell companies owned by one umbrella company controls access to legal case rulings. If you try to use Pacer at a courthouse you risk being harassed and treated like a terrorist--especially if it is a case you are working on for yourself. And let's not even discuss transcripts. It can cost arm, leg, and firstborn to get a transcript of a case. The legal profession and the courts are a racket designed to serve the rich.

You said the magic phrase.
Come see the violence inherent in the system!

This version is longer. The first minute shows the purpose of legal language: to claim possession of people and their property through identification with titles of authority:

"I am Arthur, King of the Britons."
"King of the who?"
"King of the Britons."
"Who are the Britons?"
"We all are. We're all Britons. And I am your king."
Cleese and crew understood it instinctively.

Food too expensive? It’s time for public grocery stores

The fallacy is failing to understand the authoritarian spirit behind purported 'humanitarian' causes, especially those that involve using the deadly force of the state for funding. People who worship the idol of political power are generally lacking awareness of their own desire to boss others around. Failing to learn from history is part and parcel of the matter. Giving government ubiquitous control over the food supply has one result, and history has proved it a hundred times over. Complain all you want about greed in the market--government is near infinitely greedier.

FreePascal is secret weapon.
Features:
LLVM backend
transpile to javascript
compiles almost anywhere, probably even your toaster
FAST FAST FAST
When sticking to the procedural method the source reads like pseudocode. This makes it useful for writing cryptography and workhorse tools that require utmost clarity.
When team Python sunset v2.7 and vaporized a decade worth of source code I abandoned Python for Pascal for all my personal fiddles. A Pascal program will compile and start while the Python interpreter is still warming up.
