love how the beat doesn't reset after an odd measure, so the 11/8 measures alternate between an on-beat and off-beat feel. makes the 23/8 section especially interesting to listen to, though as someone who's used to feeling that section in all sorts of ways, i still found it relatively easy to follow.

...cages in kirby and the forgotten land are... weird. somehow the act of simply touching them causes them to colourfully disintegrate. and what exactly does it look like when dedede/sillydillo swings a cage and catches elfilin/kirby inside?
i looked at slowed-down footage. the cage is actually already closed when they're swinging the thing. kirby/elfilin just straight up clips into the closed cage. and when you mash your way out of the cage, kirby just simply clips out of the cage -- what you see in the image.
