I’m just honestly so confused. Do they want to expel all non-white people and non-Christian white people, refuse entry to everyone including tourists, and basically just close themselves off from the rest of the world like a population of white hikikomori?

I like how “chuffed” sounds/feels like someone being all pleased with themselves but without the smugness of “smug”.

I have aphantasia but love reading, even really descriptive passages. I don’t ‘see’ but I “feel” words, I think, if that makes any sense. Like, if I read a description of a steaming mug of coffee, I’ll feel the rising steam on my face, feel how it smells, feel the heaviness of the mug in my hand, etc. It’s a lot more vivid in a way than when I watch tv since that’s all visual and auditory.

I know people hate being told to smile, but a smile goes a long way especially for hospitality and customer service positions.

Something you don’t really consider when you’re young and everything feels like forever is that A LOT can happen in 10, 20 years.
