You can! That's how i'm playing it. There's some finagling with the Launcher since it's ancient, but once you get past that it runs smoothly

Its definitely some work. I managed to get a copy of MyAbandonware that at least resolved the Windows Live issues but i've messed with that before and it was annoying

I have actually wanted to do streaming, but as like it's own thing entirely. If i do end up doing it i wouldn't expect it to be mentioned because of that separation, but i wouldn't at all be surprised if someone managed to track it down based solely on how the games line up.
The major issue i've run into with streaming is setting up my mic. I can never feel like i get the right setup with Easy Effects/OBS to make my mic sound good lmao. I really just need to sit down and look for some guides

There's a PC version of the first game out there you can get that's practically abandoned. If you know your way around Proton it runs perfectly with a little fiddling, albeit capped at an odd resolution. The sequel also has a PC Decomp but i could never get it to work on Linux

I had some frame rate issues myself on start, but managed to fix it by switching to Proton GE. Smooth sailing from there. I’ll keep this in mind though just in case

Performance is definitely abysmal. I managed to save most of it by using Proton GE, which helped a ton for some reason (regular Proton had bad frame stuttering for some reason), but in the open areas there’s some pop in and stuff I’ve been noticing.
::: spoiler Spoiler Going into this I had hopes Dark Side might be an unlock able thing, It’ll be interesting to see how they write it into the lore. :::

Damn. I was thinking about installing it on mine too, to play on the go. At least I have a ton more games I play through

Ironically I’m not a huge SW or Souls fan, and I somehow managed to get it to click. It took a bit for me but I think it’s because I care about Cal as a character, plus lightsaber customization is neat

I set that up one time once upon a time. Ironically I saw the remake trailer which was what made me decide to hold off on playing it. I thought it would be a fairly faithful remake. Not disappointed at all with what we got, just a slightly different experience is all.
I think I’ll save the OG for Halloween. I have an OG Xbox that I bought (purely for playing Halo CE & 2), and I know there’s a port of the game on there. And I also have a Slim PS2 I could mod, I’m wondering if I can use a capture card of some sort too get screenshots off one of those too share rather than the PC version

The durability is definitely my one major complaint. I remember going into this on launch, and not to unfairly compare it to its predecessor, and going to myself “Man. James can smash skulls in with his pipe. Are the pipes in Silent Hill Maine just made different?”.
I do appreciate it for trying something different though, it was a unique experience I hadn’t tried before

Probably shouldnt share this online, but i'm a College student who lives with parents (and the place i live gives me free college because of how little income my household has, so i don't need to worry about work). I took summer break too so even more free time, and plus im in a field adjacent to Computer Science and have been practicing that stuff for years before college, so i cruise through most my classes. so basically: I got pretty lucky

I actually played it on launch too so I have a bit to compare it too, though my first run was on normal while my second was in the fog. This one was on story.
I think my main gripe is just that it’s tedious with the combat sometimes. Like that sprint near the end where you have to kill those big pregnant creatures? I found myself sighing going back to that more than anything

It's a bit embarrassing to admit, but Zombies scared the shit out of me until i was like 13 years old. I remember being young and seeing my dad play a game with them in it and my Mom made him turn it off because it scared me so bad i cried, so suffice to say i understand your feelings about horror games lol.

Man, I fucking love watching this guy. He’ll talk about the most niche things and I love learning about it. He inspired a presentation I gave on how rice cookers work

King of the Hill actor Jonathan Joss is shot dead in Texas during an argument
I really despise the usage of 'Argument' here in the title. It does not do the situation justice. As far as i'm aware this wasn't an Argument. it was entirely one sided. The perpetrator just walked up and started being homophobic before shooting him. It was a murder and to call it anything less is just being dishonest.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is out now on Steam - and it broke Steam servers for 30 minutes and counting now
Damn, I thought all the jokes about breaking Steam Servers were just being hyperbolic. I applaud them though, I couldn’t get into the game but this is a huge milestone

Make it a downloadable package that runs a local model and I think I’d be far more fine. Like, I think it’s a tacky gimmick, but at least on device it’s not hurting the environment
