I just got back from a beach vacation in a house we rented. Unfortunately I had to rely on a relatives speaker, so I could relax watching for no kids to drown.

Mostly played soft R&B, Blues, or anything downbeat at a lower level I could hear it over the sound of the waves and screaming children. But I was sitting right next to it and not blasting it from 100 meters away.

We'd also setup way early with no one around. I'd have the speaker rolling and the beach wasn't packed. Yet people still setup really close to me on both sides.

At that point I figured they weren't bothered. They would hopefully have said something because we talked to each other about the kids playing together.

So yeah there are situations, like everything else.

Probably only person I bothered was my Mother-in-law, because she is kinda racist and doesn't like music made by darker skin people, but that I really didn't give a shit about.

JPGs don't support transparency. Has to be PNG or GIF. WEBP also supports transparency, but it's got horrible compatibility with editors. There are other options that are overlooked for web like SVG, fantastic for a companies website logo.

Not sure what you are using. In Photoshop do not flatten the image. The program has a "save for web" and you can toggle transparency on and off. Better control than the "save as" and I think "save for screens".

I've taught this technical junk of print and web to graphic designers for close to 20 years. Trust me when I say not a lot of people understand the nuances and it's getting worse not better.

Not anyone's fault really a lot of this his hidden behind the scenes and you have to seek it out and actually care. Which doesn't come up often, until you need to optimize a websites load speed or print something extremely precise.

Had a few dogs, none that had great personality. But after my recent Aussie died I died. He was so fucking smart and honestly my best friend.

We took him everywhere with us. He was in a couple parades and hung out with me at outdoor events. Dude would carry our water bottles in a backpack on hikes. He always wanted a job and we kept him occupied.

He was so chill and gentle. Loved everyone. He took treats very gently because he didn't want to accidentally nibble you. He loved kids, would always go up to them for pets and gently lick babies on the cheek. Would have been a fantastic service dog to visit children hospitals, but we were too lazy to go through the process to certify him.

But he got old and weak and his heart started failing, after his 16th birthday. The day we had to put him down he couldn't move anymore and somehow I think he knew it was time. He went out as gracefully as he lived, gave us each a little kiss and just laid down didn't struggle, as me and wife sobbed hugging him.

Yeah can't go through that deep of a connection again. Like having a member of your family die, no other dog I have will be him.
