Always show link below post not working as expected

what if someone actually wanted to download the thumbnail?

I would expect a long press to show an option to display the thumbnail. I just checked with your purely image post example and it seems that the context menu is already perfect.
For comparison Thunder just shows a purely image post as if the picture was embedded and only shows a combined image and link when the link is a different URL.

Thanks for considering it!

You're right but looking at raw the image is actually flagged as a thumbnail. Thunder, Jerboa and browser ui open the link when tapping on it.
I believe Summit incorrectly flag posts as text when there is a link followed by a thumbnail. Thunder and webui flag this kind of posts as a link.

Summit probably already does something special as it shows the thumbnail first : raw shows the link is before thumbnail. But imho, it should combine the link and it's thumbnail.

As I keep tapping on the thumbnail which is never what I want to see, is it possible if no official info exists on how to handle such cases to at least add an : "open links for links followed by a thumbnail if tapped" or "Show links followed by a thumbnail as an image link" ?

Hope I am not coming as negative. No matter what Summit is a great app and I am grateful for the enormous time you're probably spending on it.

Should you still buy your next smartphone — or subscribe to it instead? Apple, Samsung … are betting that leasing, subscriptions, and guaranteed buyback programs can make upgrading more attractive.

With smartphones current prices and componants becoming more expensive they are realizing not a lot of people will buy a smartphone costing more than 1500 dollars. Especially when hardware is now good enough and people are starting to try to keep their phone as long as possible.

Making you rent your phone allow to hide how much it's going to cost you and ensure them a steady cash income.

This is Android's new 'advanced flow' for sideloading apps without verification, includes one-day waiting period

What happens when you turn off / on developer options? I read some people had to because of their bank apps refusing to work if developer options is on.
Personnally I hate what they are doing, it's not going to protect more and surely it a steps to allow removal to side load in future. I don't think it would fly if Microsoft was doing that on Windows...

AV2 vs AV1: What the Next-Gen Video Codec Brings to the Table

Or older article but more comprehensive : AV1 vs AV2 Video Codec: 7 Key Differences You Need to Know. It's key takeaways :

AV2 delivers 30% better compression efficiency than AV1, which already compresses 30% better than HEVC (H.265).

AV2 encoding demands 2-3 times more computational power than AV1, requiring advanced hardware like RTX 5090 for practical use.

AV2 will officially release by end of 2025, with widespread hardware support expected around 2027 or later.

AV2 introduces advanced features like split-screen delivery, enhanced AR/VR support, and dynamic bitrate switching for adaptive streaming.

88% of AOMedia members plan to implement AV2 within two years, despite infrastructure and hardware compatibility challenges.
