Defederate lemmynsfw.com?
They did post an update about it
Looks like its less about blatant loli/shota content and more about "characters who are petite/young-looking but not obviously underage"
How and if that changes anyones feelings about it is up to them.

A major subreddit, r/pics, seems to have gone back on the blackout
I don't think it actually went private. They went "read-only" so that this:
could be on the front page.

Why is vote "fuzzing" so extreme?
I have nothing to back this up but I assumed it was due to federating everywhere. And calculating the actual total, dealing with duplication etc.
Would be great to see someone with a bit more know how chime in.

Reddit keeps undeleting my account and posts. Is there anything I can do as an American Citizen?

Most of the time its not only the karma that makes it valuable, but more importantly the age. Older accounts are worth more because they look less like advertising bots

I think both have their potential. Going dark will be seen by reddit behind the scenes. Going read-only will be seen by the users.

So is there an open API that the community can use?
I've looked through this but could never work out how to get the Auth token

Add YouTube downloads to Plex?
Easy Way
When you add the media folder to the libary, you need to set the scanner to "Plex Video Scanner" and the agent to "Personal Media".
I am pretty sure they wont get the nice metadata this way, but they should show up with the file name.
Hard Way
I have heard people have had luck either setting up metadata files or custom scanners/agents that name things properly like everything else on plex but could never get it working myself.

User (profile) privacy on lemmy/kbin/...
So is there only way to just swap account every few months?
If you care about orgs having the ability to profile you then yes.
There is not really a way for platfoms to prevent this from happening, even if they wanted to. Unless you go full anonymous ala 4chan etc. (even then it could be done, just harder)
