- If you've time but no money: Fix it
- If money for a new printer is not a problem: Replace it

What you've described, sounds like some basic user errors which would've been easily solved by sticking to good modeling practices. @michel is right. Every CAD suffers from it and the software may does a lot of heavy lifting to not let the user recognize it. It's not easy to solve but we're heavily (!!!) working on it.
