Exactly, same architecture means nothing if it only draws a fraction of the power, eg from a battery and not mains. Not only that, but size and cooling constraints mean with our current tech, it's impossible to have a small handheld as powerful as current gen consoles

Imagine if all these discount programs were linked not to the card, but to the bag. Bringing the same rugged bag with a chip could've become a new normal.

Your company has a vested interest in pushing sustainable disposable single use bags over reusable bags, your data is biased, and as mentioned, emissions are less of an issue than the physical pollution and damage of single use packaging being disposed of and ending up in the environment. One reusable bag ending up in the ocean isn't as bad as 400 sustainable ones.
