Using fascist technology to fight fascism still promotes fascist technology.

If I'm having a direct discussion with somebody, then I'll make it clear what I'm talking about, and if they engage in a conversation about ethics, I'll explain why those things are unethical.

But if I wanted to post a public message to voice my sentiment, I don't think trying to post a long explanation every time would do any good, most people would probably just skip it when they saw it's longer than a couple lines of text. So for those cases, I'd say you have to go down to the level of current discourse to engage with the masses on their terms if you want to be heard.

The problem is that the general public has adopted "AI" to mean the current popular machine learning thing, the general category of "generative AI", and if you want a message about it to be received broadly, you need to use terms people will understand.

In my case, I'm not aware of any GenAI models that produce useful output that I'd consider to be ethical, so I support this message.

Buying new trends is a choice

Technically vanilla RimWorld already has "Lovin'", which colonists sharing a bed can do, and the DLC has colonist pregnancy, IUDs, babies, and I think even artificial insemination (though it's been a long time since I played without mods, so I could be mixing something up)

But really, given sufficient time, any sufficiently moddable game will have a horny mod made.

Unfortunately not, I have no experience with peertube. I'll note DeArrow also has title formatting and replacement, standardizing capitalization (so you don't get all caps titles) and allowing users to submit and vote on better, more descriptive video titles.

I am a fan of Valve, but this is just way exaggerated. For example, encourages you to save money by having sales? Isn't that about manipulating you into buying more games than you would otherwise, because you perceive the value as being better?

The Story of Hyrule

dont call children twinks, otters, or femboys.

You know, I never thought about how old Link and Zelda are in the games. Never really had a need, of course, but in some games it's made obvious (literally switching between child link and adult link), I'm not sure if it's explicitly stated for wind waker but just look at him... But then, in BotW there's implications of past romance, and this being the last Zelda game I played might have primed me to not think of Link as a kid.

Seen this countless times

I will happily recommend Arch to a new user... If they're interested in learning Linux, and not dependent on it working reliably, while warning them of the risks and telling them about the advantages.

I wouldn't recommend it to somebody who wants something that just works, but for tech-inclined people looking for a system they are in control (and responsibility) of, willing to learn how to set it up, I think a manual installation is a good experience.

But they will be warned.

I think your point might also apply the other way - people are also encouraged to make exaggerated, incendiary comments for attention. Mild, reasonable takes, especially not posted quickly, will usually be overshadowed by the more extreme top comments. I believe the poster in question defended themselves claiming it was just an exaggeration.

What could the reason possibly be?

To be fair, aren't vitamins and soup pretty much the best thing we have for viral infections like the flu and covid? I mean, obviously vaccinating is better, but when you're already sick, you pretty much just need to rest, stay hydrated, get some nutrients and let your immune system deal with it, right?
