What light novel(s) have you read last week, and what do you think about it? [May 11 - May 17]
<Ascendance of a Bookworm: Hannelore’s Fifth Year at the Royal Academy> Volume 2
Finally got round to reading the latest bookworm.
I should have reread volume 1 first as I forgot a bit and who was who for Hannelores retainers. (Or remembered to skip to the back pages for the handy guide)
As @[email protected] mentioned we definitely need a Myne POV explaining what she is doing in the background.
It was interesting seeing Charlottes and the Zents POVs.
But there is just 1 thing I want for this series. Give Hannelore a happy ending with whoever she wants! (And Dregarnuhr please fix her timing issues, maybe adjust the timing belt on her?)
Edit -
How could I forget the best bit? Big Sister Hannelore

<TsukiMichi: Moonlit Fantasy> - Volume 15
I have read the latest volume. Not much to say apart from Tomoe has built her hot spring resort.

<TsukiMichi: Moonlit Fantasy> - Volume 13 & 14
I have continued with TsukiMichi. Another months wait until the next. (At least it’s not 6 months like others)
Changes have happened to the Demi Plane.
Tomoe has allowed Mio to have a chance to lead Young Masters future. As a result: Shrine maidens have been traumatised, Hibiki has met a Greater Dragon, Hibiki and Young Master learn more about each other and their values, Limes have been abused.
I just wish the story would give us some more information on Sari. She was taken to the Demi Plane and apart from 1 order there’s been no mention of her. She gave up everything, please give her something!

Midweek discussions - How about a magic trick?
Reply in thread
I still love Nanobot magic supremacy. We will or will not do it depending on how we decide to interpret our rules.
But I understand wanting more ridged rules to stop things going crazy.
Bookworm has a good mix, you have the rules of praying to the gods, the limitation of the vessel and the favour of the gods. But you also have the magic tools with more freedoms.
Side note - I am still waiting for a RPG game where there is a set magic script and you can create your own spells like programming.

@[email protected], you may have the wrong series but I am intrigued. Can you tell me more about the series?

Spider was really great for my taste
in the beginning
Fixed that for you.
But yes it does shift, and there is that volume…
I still love the series though, I was actually thinking of rereading it. I just can’t get enough of white.

How could you ask that? Making me choose! It’s like asking Myne or Rozemyne?
Anyway…
1st - The Happy go lucky - Kumoko
2nd - The dream team - White + Ariel
3rd - Loner White

speaking of anime, the new season is starting
You got my hopes up, then I realised it’s the season not a new Spider season.

- Volume 06 to 09
I have continued with Dragon Hatchling.
A major plot point has just concluded at the end of volume 09, I am looking forward to see what happens next.
The only downside is there is still too much fighting, volume 9 was nonstop fighting. Let us have some more relaxed moments please.

<TsukiMichi: Moonlit Fantasy> - Volume 18
The constant fighting in got too much for me so I needed a change of pace, as TsukiMichi new volume was out a couple of weeks ago I have Picked up the latest volume.
We are finally going to Lorel!, and New students are being taken in for the Academy city classes.

So I’m a Dragon Hatchling, So What?
- Volume 02 to 05
I have continued with Dragon Hatchling.
Volume 02 caught up with the Anime leaving Volume 03+ to be new content.
It reminds me of <So I’m a Spider, So What?>. It has the same skills concept and mysterious Divine Voice. I would say the MC in Spider was better so far but Dragon Hatchling MC is also very likeable.
The companions are also very good, I wish we would have some more focus on the characters trying to find him. We have had a couple of short bonus stories but I would like to know more about their journeys.
I hope we get to see all the companions he leaves behind later again, I need more Ballrabbit and Nina in my life!
Negatives - Too much fighting in parts, I prefer a slower story I find too many fights can be tiring to read.

I ended up watching the Anime and got pulled in by the cliffhanger ending…
It’s been enjoyable so far. I will be continuing and seeing where it leads.

I owe you an apology. It turns out you aren’t a book pusher getting people addicted then taking them away.
It is still coming out monthly.
They just didn’t update their website. It looks like the website has now been completely redone.

<TsukiMichi: Moonlit Fantasy> - Volume 17
I have read the latest volume. We have gone back to the start in Tsige for some training.
::: spoiler Spoiler for the main points 4th follower has been named
The Toa has finally got her dagger, after beating a dungeon Shiki and Tomoe made
Tsige is preparing to separate from the kingdom and become and independent city :::
Side note, any recommendations for series to pick up? I have been in a rut and lost the drive to start any new series.
I have been thinking about picking up one of the new fluffy ones or one of the anime’s I enjoyed. (But I am concerned they might be bad like NineSwords has mentioned with Tanya)

Will have to retry Cooking With Wild Game. I tried the 1st volume after Death March but just didn’t click.
I know you have compared them to be similar for slow paced.
Some of the ones I was thinking of:
She professed herself the pupil
Weakest tamer
Playing death games
Spice and Wolf
