I’m not ready to throw the towel on Slafkowsky yet. I see his problem as being similar to Lindros’s; they’re big guys and never had to keep their heads up in juniors, so they didn’t grow up with that mentality. But I hope St. Louis can impress the need to keep mindful of his surroundings.

This is really informative, thank you for posting. Besides the serious ones and a few obvious ones (at least for people living in Japan, like 刺し箸 or the other 指し箸), I have been guilty of a few of these (looking at you こすり箸 and 橋箸).

Yeah, I thought it was strange to pair Matheson and Savard together; not sure they should stay together for too long, but I can’t say they worked poorly together. But then again, it’s the first game of the season, so I might get proven wrong.

I think Guhle benefits from a mobile partner in general, but I am not convinced Kovacevic is the right person for him. We’ll have to wait and see.

I agree, I would put Hoffman’s contract ahead of Allen’s. But I guess the author doesn’t see it that way?
