What is your experience with villain games, where your players are the villains?

I had a campaign with an evil party once, it honestly wasn't a great experience. I think it requires experienced players to make it work. It was a struggle to find roleplaying reasons for the party to work together to achieve a common goal. Roleplaying also got a bit exhausting because all the characters were essentially selfish. To make it work, all players should think hard about a compelling reason why they want to work together, it would probably make it easier if they're all from the same organization for example.

I don't even want to know the answer because it'll be less entertaining than lemmy's collective imagination.

As for the question: I think your biggest problem is going to be inducing a proper clearout shortly before you go on your trip. Maybe laxatives?

Edit: I just realized, is the reason you don't want to go despite having toiles available stuff like hemorrhoids or an anal fissure? Because if so, there are creams for that my friend.

Browsing other instances

Reply in thread

I'm aware of this, but I'd love a way to only browse specific other instances as if local. That way you could narrow your browsing to a topic if an instance is specifically for that topic. For example if there was an instance just for gaming, another just for sports etc. you could switch between different topics and narrow your browsing to only show communities for that instance's topic, depending what you're in the mood for and to discover new communities.

It seems like instances focused on certain topics are a logical way for the fediverse to work.

Participation from other instances not working?

That actually helped! Interesting, so there seems to be an issue with posts initially getting rejected somehow? That means I'd have to go to ttrpg.network after every post to check whether it's actually been transferred or not. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's any way for me to see if it was successful or not from lemmy.world.

Subscriptions are still pending too. I guess just some growing pains.
