Reddit mods are organizing blackouts to protest against API changes
This is like watching an incredibly slow train wreck. We know what the outcome looks like, but are (mostly) powerless to stop it unless these blackouts work.

I mentioned this in an adjacent thread, but as much as I hate downvoting in principle, I will gladly downvote that AMA out of principle.

At this point, they should just leave the 259,238 modmail messages for the admins to deal with. Let them sort through all that since this is all their doing.

It seems like the entirety of disgruntled Reddit is either going to join some form of Lemmy (Fediverse) or Tildes. At least with Lemmy we can still all communicate on the same platform. This entire event is completely splitting up and fracturing the communities we all had and liked on Reddit.

Intelligence Officials Say U.S. Has Retrieved Craft of Non-Human Origin - The Debrief
Big if true.
If this can be corroborated, then we can possibly be closer to answering the question of whether or not UFOs have an extraterrestrial origin. I highly doubt though that claimed physical evidence will be forthcoming.

Ethnic minorities in Russia are campaigning for the breakup of the country
Hmm not surprising considering Russia has been drafting ethnic minorities for their war instead of pulling from Moscow and St. Petersburg. As such, they've been taking a considerable number of losses for a war they didn't even want, and of whom losses Putin sees as expendable.
