Combat vs RP

I like the concept of RP, but man do some groups struggle to pull it off. I also (don't lynch me) think that combat should be an RP experience. That could be my love for certain systems where you get bonuses for good, accurate descriptions and not simply, "I roll. I hit. I do X damage."

Israeli soldiers blow up building in Gaza for ‘gender reveal’ party

Group think and social pressures. It is remarkably easy for humans to find themselves behaving like those around them. The progression doesn't even have to be fast. Imagine that when the israeli military fought wars in the mid 20th century, they started thinking of the enemy around them, and then imagine how long it has been since then with no corrective measures ever taken on those lines of thinking. NOW add in that israel has mandatory military service. The ones who choose to stay are going to be the ones that can agree and fit in with those now very evolved thoughts of hatred, and of course they will bring their own worse additions as they try to prove themselves to those the esteem, the already putrid military members ranked above them.

I am jealous of WoD DMs

The real problem with WoD games? The setting books and DM intros are always so good at crafting that beautiful eerieness of the monsters in the shadows, while the average group handles everything by clunking around like toddlers on stilts.

My group tried three times, then it was back to standard 'kick-in-the-door' style games. Roleplaying isn't the easiest thing, and it sucks. I just want a good werewolf or hunter game with some nice politicking and investigation. I'm not even asking for anything crazy, like an introspective mage or changeling meditation session! /cries_in_desperate_desire

The easiest way is to use the principles of conditioning. Pair a stimulus with a certain color light, then start flashing up different colored lights. If the organism is cued to the stimulus by multiple colors of lights, it means that they can't really distinguish between them.

That's how we tested when kids lose the ability to distinguish certain phonemes.

I have (had ;'( ) a local account, and bitlocker was activated. I only found out when my motherboard bit the dust, and that triggered the no-TPM bitlocker thingamajig. Goodbye data.

Of course it hits right as I needed the data on that laptop. Fucking murphy and his fancy legal words.

If anyone is in a situation like mine, you might find luck with a little DIY hacking: https://www.techspot.com/news/106166-old-bitlocker-vulnerability-exploited-bypass-encryption-updated-windows.html

We broke our small MAGA town today

Coal rolling, especially on a gathered group of people, should be treated the same as you would an attempt to choke someone out. My local laws could prooobably be used with wording for attempted aggravated assault, which would be a 3rd degree felony.

Marjorie Taylor Greene declines to challenge Jon Ossoff in Georgia Senate race

Bingo. She's won three terms, so six years of being a rep, which means she gets the retirement and healthcare (the federal option, which she would pay the premiums for, in fairness) for life. The formula calculates out somewhere between $17-20k once she turns 62 in another nine years. Not a lot, but a very decent chunk to add to everything else.

Add in everything from the typical republican grifts and why would she bother anymore?

Frying chicken usually makes louds pops and sizzles from the water rapidly boiling away in the oil.

...so loud pissing makes loud watery noises and, there you have it. It's a little funny you mention being old because the saying is old as well.

NO TO AI

Pfffft. Not far enough. You have to go back to 2015 to even find articles that aren't shitty lists or repeating the 'target' word 15 times for SEO. AI has only sped up the ability to generate shit.

Anyway, I doubt most people would get violent. Most people aren’t just held back by laws, but morality

I'll be honest here, mate, I think we've seen that a very large portion of the population would be more than happy to get violent. It's mostly the ones who scream about laws needing to enforce morality on 'the heathens.'
