From what I have red or seen it uses the signal from all 4 antenna ports. This is true for analog and HDZero.
If only one antenna is installed, or will use this port mainly, due to the weak signal of other ports.

Answer to linked discussion post, my V1 goggles start to scan for HDZero in 15 - 20 seconds. I don't have an analog module but to show me a black screen with analog OSD it takes similar time. If this is to long you could try sleep mode.
I have a small issue with SD card. It's doing integrity check after start, 2 minutes or so. If I want to use DVR, I have to wait for the check. Maybe sleep mode instead of shutdown avoids this.
Wight is okay for me, but that's my perception.

So I was wrong, only left top antenna is used for analog receiver. It is in goggles user manual, hidden in a block diagram of signal processing. See attached image.
You don't have to connect any other antenna than left top. And it is neither with HDZero nor analog an issue, if you don't content any antenna. Both do not send via receiver antenna.

In my opinion runing an HDZero (and also analog) receiver without an antenna is no problem.
- Because both do not send any signal from the receiver back to VTX. And only sending has some risk to grill the senders amplifier when done without antenna.
- Quite often I do not have top antennas connected when I do benchtesting with my HDZero goggles 1. And I don't have issue so far.

But of cause it is centralized Discord, not everyone might like it.
