Any idea how to calculate sector IDs for Vodafone and EE 2G?

Was wondering whether I could get help with this, I've recently been working on 2G and 3G listings on O2 UK in my area but I'd like to work on Vodafone and EE too. The only problem is that I don't know how to calculate sectors for them.

I know O2 tends to be relatively easy and you can even search 2G BTS IDs up in my network (it's "site:[cell ID]" for anyone wondering) but I have no clue about the others.

Splatoon Unofficial Announcements: Thank You!

Original post available at https://wetdry.world/@splatoon/113144306396635775. Please follow us on Mastodon if you haven't done so already, we're still getting nothing mirrored over here which is really frustrating.

Now that the Grand Festival Splatfest is over and Splatoon 3 having less happening from now on, I would just like to reassure everyone here that we will continue actively posting about the game. Things may be less frequent, but I am determined to continue reporting on the Splatoon series here (and the Animal Crossing series at @[email protected]).

I'm hoping we'll be able to host more events soon to keep things fresh. But for now, I would like to issue a thank you to everyone reading this post for supporting this account for about a year and 9 months.

It's been truly inkredible being able to grow this community and I want to continue having a vibrant community even with the future of Splatoon 3 being uncertain. I would also like to use this space to say thank you to a few individuals.

For starters, thank you Essem and Emma IPG for being amazing admins on this server! Also, thanks @[email protected] for maintaining a safe space for squids to hang out in!

Even though I don't really know either of you, thank you @[email protected] for continuing to datamine content in Splatoon 3 as well as reporting on news (it's quite handy) and thanks @[email protected] for operating the SplatoonNA mirror here.

I'd also like to thank the team at @[email protected]: particularly @[email protected], @[email protected] and @[email protected]. They've been doing a splatastic job of reviving servers for Splatoon 1 and various other Wii U/3DS titles. I'm looking forward to potentially working with the team in the future for early access to Splatfest information etc once the servers are ready. I also currently moderate for Pretendo's forums, so be sure to say hi if you see me around.

Finally, thank you to @NorthWestWind in particular for assisting with the operation of our Matrix and Discord spaces.

Oh, and also, I know nobody at Nintendo will see this but thank you. I don't know what I'd be doing online now if this game didn't exist.

I'll be publishing a more lengthy post on other platforms soon.

Splatoon 1 on Pretendo moves to 2 hour rotations

Just thought I'd share this one quickly. Splatoon 1 moves to 2 hour rotations after a poll in the Pretendo Discord came out in favour of it.

I'm hoping that our posting will eventually mirror over again, but if you haven't already, please follow us on Mastodon at @[email protected]!

[Tournaments] Squids for Palestinian Kids is hosting a tournament on June 2nd

Copied and pasted from the original at https://wetdry.world/@splatoon/112509269398477268.

Sorry for no alt text on the image, unsure on how to do it with Sync.

Back in March, you may have remembered that we covered an event that the Splatoon content creator ProChara was hosting in support of the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

Our community here managed to raise an inkredible US$30 (at minimum) through the Tiltify campaign!

As the situation is getting worse each day, Palestinian children need our help more than ever and one of the organisers from that event is hosting another round of support next week!

On the 2nd of June at 6pm BST, SFPK will be hosting a tournament to raise more money for Palestine! Along with that, some content creators and influencers, including myself, will be running events throughout the week to raise money.

I'm not quite ready to publish the post announcing our event but it will be happening on the 1st of June at 8:30pm BST (post should be out by tomorrow evening hopefully). To get notified about this, join us on Matrix at https://matrix.to/#/#splatoonevents:matrix.org.

To read the official announcement post, visit https://x.com/hollowermoon/status/1794783586241138787.

To make a donation, use our Tiltify Amplify link to indicate it came from us at https://tilt.fyi/i7vrMKF69i.

If you're interested in signing up, visit the Sendou page at https://sendou.ink/to/124/register. You'll need Discord to use Sendou (just in case you didn't know). They also have a Discord server set up at https://discord.com/invite/n2XAbBcUjr.

The event will be live streamed at https://twitch.tv/SFPKsplatoon.

Posts aren't forwarding to lemmy.world communities

Hi, for at least 7 days, posts created on Mastodon on the wetdry.world server that mention the communities @[email protected] and @[email protected] have not been forwarding correctly.

The server does not restrict access to lemmy.world at all, mastodon.world is marked as limited but that doesn't apply to Lemmy.

I'm posting from the @[email protected] and @[email protected] accounts and they always have the handle for the respective Lemmy community at the bottom of our posts.

Thanks in advance for the support!

[Notice] Splatoon Unofficial and Crossing Corner posts aren't currently linking to Lemmy

I just came across this and I feel like it's important to inform everyone. Our posts from the Splatoon Unofficial and Crossing Corner accounts don't seem to currently be linking to Lemmy.

I'm not sure why, but this seems to have been happening for about a week at this point.

We are still posting, but I'm not particularly keen on making news posts on my personal Lemmy account at the moment considering I only check in to Lemmy from time to time.

To continue staying informed of the latest events in the squid world whilst we investigate why our posts aren't mirroring to Lemmy, you'll need to follow us on Mastodon.

https://wetdry.world/@splatoon

If you're not interested in using Mastodon, we also have a Matrix space and a Discord server. A full guide for joining us on Matrix is linked at https://splatsville.social/@splatoon/pages/matrixwelcome.

Thanks for all your support though! Hope we can get this fixed soon since it is certainly annoying for all parties involved.

[Discussion] Splatoon Unofficial content warning posts (e.g. Splatfest results) seemingly visible now on Lemmy?

For the longest time, posts with a content warning that we make, particularly those for Splatfests were not visible but now they seem to be?

I'm just wondering when this started happening since I've only noticed this just now and it's a bit of a concern for me. I'm not sure what clients are used for Lemmy but I'm concerned that the clients may show contents of the message despite showing an NSFW tag on Lemmy (obviously we're not posting any porn). The whole purpose behind us using content warnings for stuff like this is to not spoil people.

[Discussion] Feedback needed on Splatoon 1 tournament

Hi all, making a separate post here on Lemmy, since polls from Mastodon don't show up on Lemmy.

I need feedback on a potential Splatoon 1 tournament that I want to host next year.

https://wetdry.world/@splatoon/111527911865545965

You'll need to have a Mastodon, Firefish, Akkoma or Misskey account (obviously there's more software than that) to vote.

If you can, I'd also encourage you to follow us as well, some posts don't get ported over to Lemmy.

Thanks in advance!

Quick heads up for Lemmy and Kbin users about the Splatoon 3 Fediverse Championships

On September 15th at 6pm UTC / 7pm BST / 2pm EST, I'm planning to host the first fediverse Splatoon 3 tournament, but I'm making a quick warning in advance for all those people who only have a Lemmy or Kbin account reading this.

For anyone on Lemmy and Kbin, you'll need to make an account outside of those platforms, preferably on Mastodon or Firefish (I recommend wetdry.world or lethallava.land). I wish I didn't have to impose this restriction, but you can't DM Lemmy users from Mastodon (I'm not sure about Kbin, it works slightly differently but I assume you can't DM Kbin users either) and Lemmy users can't DM Mastodon users. Considering we will be relying on direct messages, I've had to impose this restriction, I'm really sorry in advance.

Anyways, for those of you who do have an account outside Lemmy or Kbin, take a look at this post on @[email protected]: https://wetdry.world/@splatoon/110894697698310668
