Unity boycott begins as devs switch off ads to force a Runtime Fee reversal - Mobilegamer.biz

But hey, at least they didn’t give it a set end date; from the very start of their “strike” the reddit mods straight up admitted that they couldn’t stay away from their unpaid powertrips and leave their octogenerian mothers’ basements for more than 2 days, and instantly folded at a single empty threat to take away the only thing in their lives that’ll ever give them purpose and make them feel like they wield power over others.

Dog shit vs. cat shit; neither Israel nor Hamas give a shit about the well-being, territorial integrity or human rights of the other’s people. Now, as for Ukraine and Russia the latter is obviously in the wrong- anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves.

Godot Engine hits over 50K euros per month in funding

Long-term I think corporate tech as we know it is screwed. Their explosive growth from the pandemic making everyone terminally online is drying up as more and more people go back to touching grass, so now the bill’s coming due and it’s only a matter of time now before Unreal also does something stupid we can’t even imagine for a quick buck

Lemmygrad tankies react very sanely to Lemmy.world's defederation

Yes comrade, and the month after that Putin, having completely taken over Ukraine somehow and then inevitably sent its whole population on a one-way trip to Siberia, will use his icebreaker fleet and what’s left of his navy to liberate Alaska’s 5 ethnic Russians, immediately decimating our they/them army before they even get there by simply being straight so that within mere hours they secure the entire state and, after inevitably wiping out the native Alaskans and all of Anchorage’s gays, hold a free and fair referendum where 109% of the remaining population votes to form the Alyeska People’s Republic. Then they’ll somehow sneak past the narrow and well-guarded Puget Sound without getting hit by missiles from a mountain or running aground in the fog and then create the Sietl People’s Republic (all without having their cheap uniforms soaked in the rain and dying of pneumonia), gobbling up all those tech and airplane manufacturing secrets (so we can finally see actual innovation without capitalistic monopolies yay!) and going on yet another homophobic killing spree, this time spanning several cities. The PNW shall be free from capitalistic US tyranny!!!1

Meanwhile, China will claim that since Hawaiians are descended from Taiwanese aborigines, it historically owns Hawaii; the american-mainland-hating locals will defs be on board with another continental imperialist stealing their land and turning it into a state-sized tourist resort again- this time peppered with a few boarding schools and sterilizations. It will be the beginning of the end for the American Empire™, I can’t wait!

What did Canada do?

Never ask a woman her age

Never ask a man his salary

Never ask Canada what the “indigenous boarding schools” were for

Never ask Russia, America, Hamas or Israel why they all see the Geneva Convention as a to-do list

This should be illegal

This is why I always look for cartridge-based Switch ports of games I play, so they’ll be mine long after the online play ceases, they can no longer be legally purchased and my current device reaches the end of its product life. It also helps that game cards last longer than optical discs

This right here is why I love .world; and that grad OP is right about one thing: It is indeed reddit 2.0; the whole idea was to create an instance that takes everything that’s good about reddit and provides an alternative to that stupid site, where app-pocalypse refugees (including myself, who are mostly average joes) can come and create /c’s about normal, reddit-like things. Like c/nostupidquestions (which actually is tolerant of almost all types of questions unlike the original r/), Star wars fans of all three trilogies banding together under one banner, the national/regional news-and-nature c/‘s like c/Canada and c/pnw, a friendlier version of r/atheism, an antique memes nostalgia c/, and a few entirely new feel-good communities like c/lemmybewholesome.

And better still: I hear lemmy will soon get an update that lets you block instances in addition to c/‘s and users. Right now if you block one tankie sub, c/all will just show posts from like 3 more
