After lurking for a while, and asking for advice here a couple times, I finally bought a grinder.

It's a Timemore C2S, I know it's not the best out there, but I'm coming from an old blade grinder (see pic below).

I got it yesterday and tried it immediately. Of course I made 2 cups to compare with coffee as I've been drinking it so far, and the difference is very noticeable.

To sum up the experience very quickly, grinding is pretty fast, pour over is much faster too, clarity is clearly better, and what struck me tastewise was that I could taste the acidity a lot more.

Now I have to try different settings to see what suits me best, but I'm very pleased to so far.

But also I have a question for time more owners: how do you estimate coarseness? The spec mentions "approx 36 levels", but when I count from the screw fully screwed until it comes off, there are more than 60 clicks. Also the notice mentions that we should not grind between 0 and 6 clicks, but then what's the purpose of having those clicks?

I've been wanting to upgrade my electrical blade grinder for a while but can't find an affordable second hand 1zpresso, so I narrowed my choice down to Kingrinder P1 which I can easily get (but I'd have to buy on amazon, which makes me uncomfortable), or Timemore C2S that I can find second hand here.

So here i am again, asking for your advice/reviewa before buying!

The last google product that is use is gmail, and while searching for a solid alternative, many threads mentionned self hosting, which has been on my mind for a little while but here is what's stopping me so far: 1/ it sounds like a single point vulnerability 2/ I lack the skills.

As for #2, I've been down the privacy rabbithole for a couple years now, I know there are a lot of resources out there and I'm not afraid to learn, I just don't know where to start.

But I don't see the point in learning if in the end, I just build a server that could die in a domestic accident, resulting in me loosing a lot of important data.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated,

I had an issue while installing an app through fdroid, so I shut fdroid down because the install process was going on and never ending after several minutes, but know I can't install the app from fdroid nor from the direct apk file.

I suspect there's a file stored somewhere, creating a conflict and preventing me from installing the app that I need, but i can't access the directory where apps from fdroid are stores unless I root my device, which I don't feel comfortable doing.

Has anyone had the same issue? What are my options?

Also I'm running GrapheneOS.

I need to leave my country for a couple days, but my cellphone plan doesn't cover data oversea and I don't like to rely on WiFi. A relative suggested that I try Saily, which is an esim provider that you can load with whatever you need in the country you're visiting but I'm again reluctant to use an app when I don't know how trustworthy it is.

Has anyone ever faced the same issue? Should I simply let go of my internet connexion and enjoy a couple days off the the internet?

There are many similar cardholder out there but I drew the pattern for this one myself.

Made from a single piece (kind of a big T shape), veg-tan leather, hand dyed, and saddle stitched with linen thread.

There's a coin compartment, and another one that will easily fit 5-6 cards.

A friend wanted to save the buckle from his old belt, so I made him an upgrade! Fully handstitched.

Another strap in pueblo burgundy, but this time with a foldable buckle and yellow linen thread. I wear this one on my lil Seiko 5. Happy to share details about it, as always!

Made with pueblo leather, I wouldn't really recommend it unless you have proper reinforcements, because it's very supple and won't hold up very good after a while.

Simple deck case I made. Very easy project as it's made with a single piece of leather, folded and held in shape with only 2 rivets.

Here's mobile I made, got the pattern on etsy, can't remember the name of the shop but I can look it up if someone is interested.

Here's a bifold I made for a relative. Made it with pueblo leather, aquagum glue, meisi linen thread and fiebing dye + tokonole for the edge work.

I'm looking for ways to enhance my coffee experience at home and since I'm mostly drinking drip, I figured that after grinder and water, filter has the most impact on taste (if I'm mistaken feel free to offer your advice :).

So I've started looking for suggestions on filters and read good things about Sibarist, Hario Meteor and Cafec T90 but to be honest, I don't know what to look for in a filter, so any help here is much appreciated !

Also, I'm using a cheap cilio ceramic filter rest (see attached picture), so maybe I should get something better for flow?

If the filter can be reused to avoid unnecessary waste it's a nice bonus.
