Smart companies will allow remote work, and be able to recruit top talent that wants to work remotely. From what I've heard, Amazon is a terrible place to work in pretty much any non-executive role.

Early Pistol Red Dot Sight (1970s-80s)
Reply in thread
Modern micro red dots are mounted to the slide. And are designed to withstand the g forces from the slide cycling. They will hold zero for thousands of rounds.
The sight pictured here certainly would not be able to do that. But that's what 40+ years of development in optics and materials will do.

TV's are becoming intrusive and abusive; what to do about it?
It's less convenient, but you can just not connect the TV to the Internet at all. You can connect a computer (pi or something similar) to that in order to play videos or stream from. Or an Xbox / PlayStation for ease of use (yes I know those have privacy problems as well but they are much less intrusive).
Another thing you can do is set up a pi-hole on your network and blacklist all the domains your tv uses for ads and tracking.

SD Card fails to format using official SD Card format tool on Windows
This is a microsd card inside an SD adapter, that is then inserted into an SD reader in your windows machine right? Some of those SD adapters have a little lock tab that makes the card read-only. Make sure that's in the correct position.

Remote devs, how many breaks do you take a day?
Depends on the day, but excluding lunch, usually 2-4 short breaks. My tip is to have a relatively small water bottle, and take a short break to refill it every 1-2ish hours. Keeps you hydrated and on a decent break schedule.

How do you control that from the couch? Wireless keyboard and mouse, or something else?

[RMA] What is this lump on my friend's CPU?
So based on the other comments, I would check the cooler and anything else that was above the CPU to see if something got too hot and dribbled solder on the CPU. Also is the socket next to that drop clean, or are there other smaller droplets nearby?
