You all are stuck with me now

I followed you here from Reddit mate! Your post after the mod changes (that I can't seem to find now) turned me on to Lemmy generally. It took that most recent change to shake me loose from Reddit but I've been lurking here for a bit. Let's get this sub going. :)

Trump aides alarmed he's 'just golfing all day and stewing' as election slips away: WaPo

Absolutely. When I saw the headline I thought the same thing. Bad actors will try to sew exactly that thought in liberal circles as long as Dems have the momentum.

We can't buy into it and need to resolve ourselves to fight like hell until election day, regardless of what "the polls" or "the experts" say. We need to make Kamala win in an indisputable landslide. We need to send a message that will make Trump and his acolytes political pariahs from now on.

America's nonreligious are a growing, diverse phenomenon. They really don't like organized religion

They. Really. Don’t. Like. Organized. Religion. Nor its leaders. Nor its politics and social stances.

Yes, YES!!!, and Yes.

Edit: Personally I am an atheist. I went through a long agnostic, hopeful phase while deconstructing. Even now, as an apostate to my original faith, I hope to find some higher truth still. Higher than I know now. That cause still seems worthy.

Christianity fails. At every turn. My indoctrination still affects me even past middle age. It is difficult to overcome childhood indoctrination. It isn't right to do to children. It starts with genital mutilation, for boys, and some very early sexualizing coupled with shaming and dominating for girls. Looking back on more than half my life now, I see how much it fucked me and everyone I grew up with really.
