Can you open an issue on https://github.com/Chocobozzz/PeerTube/issues (or find one that already talks about this problem) to see how we can address this problem? For example enabling global search by default could be an answer?

Just to be sure: you don't see any change since several months when sorting videos using the "Hot" algorithm?
