📢Entire mod team on r/mildlyinteresting (and more subs) removed and locked out of their accounts after changing their rules upon community's request. (They're also switching subs BACK to SFW)

Sounds like Reddit has a skill issue.

Yea and a lot of that may be bot accounts that are getting banned/being shut off.

[VERGE] Reddit says it’s ‘not acceptable’ for communities to go NSFW in protest
Being a massive liar and dickwad is unacceptable, the communities are just giving what spez had coming.

He's trying to prop up people like Tucker Carlson, hell I wouldn't be surprised if he's the sole reason why this is happening.

Depending on where you're at you can let the local humane society know and they can spay and release the mama if she's feral and take the kittens to be adopted.

lemmy.fmhy.ml now runs on v0.18!
Reply in thread
Not OP but just upgraded on my own instance and one issue is that you have to give the lemmy_ui and pictrs containers access to the internet instead of just the local network by adding lemmyexternalproxy to the networks in docker-compose.yml. I did use the Lemmy-Easy-Deploy script made by /u/[email protected] but it should be the same when using ansible considering I adapted instructions for ansible from the Lemmy github issue tracker 😂 . If you don't do that you can't access the page and just see server_error on a blank page but works in an external client like jerboa.

Seriously. The funny thing is actual work/farm trucks tend to do that, it's the pavement princesses that park like assholes.

Gender Rule
Reply in thread
Yea but sex typically is the gender assigned from birth, except for intersex people who are usually put through SRS against their will (the anti trans crowd never mentions that when trying to ban gender affirming care for minors as "mutilation")

Thank god this exists.

If you haven't noticed, reddit has a MASSIVE bot problem, I'd wager at least 1/3 of the posts on r/all are from repost bots and copy pased comments from bots probably about the same. How can you be sure these numbers are are even from real users?

Assuming your parents are cis it's the dad's sperm that determines sex.

A good homegrown tomato slice with some salt & pepper is delicious, beats store bought any day.

There's also versions at smaller scales that Google and Amazon have. A lot of times even less than 10TB of data can be easier to physically ship than to upload since you may have to saturate your connection for while for that which isn't feasible for many especially businesses
