Yah it was a major bummer when that happened and I’m pretty sure some networks shutoff earlier than that, which made a lot of these old devices cool bricks. Love the slide out keyboard but can’t make a phone call :(

My general thought on this is as the world heats up from climate change or whatever you want to call it, plate shifting in general is going to start accelerating...simply from the thermal expansion as everything on this planet slowly heats up. I wouldn't be surprised that we see more frequent earthquakes or earthquakes in areas that typically don't have a high frequency of occurrence.
