I struggle with this too. I'm reading White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo right now though and it's main suggestion is to just oppose racism when you see it. Call white people out on their behavior even if it makes everyone uncomfortable and makes you unpopular.

Also, to listen to feedback from people of color without getting defensive. No one is going to be perfect and we live in a system which is constantly socializing us, it's ok if we fuck up but just try and fix it when you learn better.

Ok, I get this argument and you're correct about the events of the film but I think when most people say we're living in Idiocracy they're talking about before the events of the film and how it got that way. For example, Brawndo had to start being used for crops at some point and it was almost certainly a greedy corporate exec that decided to start advertising it that way.

It's a Xiaomi Redmi 12. It has its own built in file explorer (as well as other equally shitty built in apps I can't remove) just called file manager. I haven't looked much into grapheneOS but I was hoping to buy a FairPhone 6 when I'm in a better financial position.

This is an interesting point but I still think you're missing something. It's not just about American Comfort but trying to stop fascism growing in the US. Right now the fascists have power and are enacting terrible policies that are damaging not just America but a lot of the world as well.

When I look at the last election I see the Gaza genocide as not applicable to who you vote for because both candidates supported Israel so you have to vote on other metrics. Or you can go third party which is a valid choice but not voting is being complicit in a fascist takeover. You can't focus on putting a fire out at your neighbor's house if your own house is burning.

Ok it sounds like they got functioning vessels after xenografting into mice (which has its own issues) and it mentioned connecting to micro fluidic chambers in the future for full ex vivo, but they don't have a functioning model for that yet. It's a very interesting and promising area of research but with practical lab work nowadays it's just not feasible. I hope they're able to get a full ex vivo model working soon though, that would be really exciting!

People angry that Superman represents kindness are outright admitting that they don't want to be good people

Ok, I don't think kindness is a bad thing but I do think the type of hero who's all vanilla and too good to be true feels fake. I can't relate to someone who always makes the right choice without fail and who has near unlimited power. I also think it makes for a more boring story. I like stories where the heroes aren't perfect and need to learn to be better.
