American Ninja 3 Blood Hunt enter chat. It is literally a Metal Gear Solid movie and it features dual sword wielding parachute dropkicking Ninja Curtis Jackson.

The whole American Ninja series is like that. Deeply ridiculous movies that fully commit. Oddly enough, the OG Cannon Ninja series is not as wacky (and that counting the Domination one).

it is not out and out bad (there's Red Planet for that) but it leaves a lot to be desired. The spacewalk segment is genuinely one of the best of its kind but everything about the movie feels empty - like it wasn't really fleshed out properly and then ancient aliens stuff makes Prometheus look good (it is not).

Porcupine Tree's take still goes hard.

Mission to Mars is "Brian De Palma does 2001 except the script fucking sucks and no one knows what the movie is supposed to be about because it was supposed to be a different movie altogether but then it wasn't and who the fuck knows what the fuck". It is one of those movies that have all the right ideas but manage to find new and increasingly more baffling ways to fail at realising them.
