Are the majority Venezuelans actually happy trump just stole their president?

That "9/11" and "never forget" has been used to drum bipartisan support for whatever new horror they come up with ever since, sure. 9/11 was the excuse to push the Patriot act through, and is an ever present point in all the downward spiral of the last quarter century.

But as far as the "Iraq war was started in direct response to the 9/11 attacks" and "every other country had our back", then no: you are referring to Afghanistan.

Ah, not OP, my bad. The quotes were taken from the initial comment, which did hold that other countries supported it. I have seen this online often, conflating the Aghanistan war with the Iraq war.

I would say the Iraq war is as much a direct result of 9/11 as the surveillance state. The excuse was provided by the attacks, but the ideas were in place prior. The bipartisan support for the war was a direct result of the jingoism still present two years after 9/11, the war itself, well, "Bush 1 wanted to invade in his term."
