iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro rumored to feature big boost in battery sizes
Bigger battery + the change to USB-C would be awesome.

A Tesla owner says he was locked out of his EV after its 12-volt battery died amid the Texas heat

100% this. I wonder how many non-EV cars broke down in the heat but didn’t make the news…

“ The funny thing is that it’s objectively not a higher end car. It’s just a cheap Corolla”
I don’t know if I can agree with that, lol. Teslas are incredibly fun to drive, are the safest cars ever made, drive themselves on the freeway (how well is a debate, but still), cost very little to fuel etc etc.
Very different than a Corolla, and I love me a Corolla!

Tesla releases terms of Full Self-Driving transfer
Reply in thread
100%. Also, if I’m reading this right, by doing the transfer you’re also agreeing to let Tesla revoke it once you sell the vehicle to a new owner.
So you’re giving up the future resale value of the feature anyway.. is that right? Doesn’t sound like a good deal.

We’ll see! They’ve been saying that for a long time. My point is Tesla is the most advanced you can buy currently, and that appears unlikely to change anytime soon. They have more cars on the road collecting data and improving their systems than anyone. It’s not even close..

BMW tests next-gen LiDAR to beat Tesla to Level 3 self-driving cars

Anything short of fiercely anti-Tesla gets immediately downvoted here. Just how it goes I guess. I’m not the biggest Tesla fan but hope they succeed on this front, we desperately need driving assistance technology to make the roads safer.

Humans drive using “cameras” (eyes) and no LiDAR, that’s the assumption Tesla is making — that a supercomputer can drive 10x better than humans using the same type of sensor. Nobody really knows yet if that’s true but I get the logic.
LiDAR also is UV/visible spectrum and is blocked by dust/fog/snow/rain so it doesn’t help much in many driving situations..
