Trans teen’s chess win in Germany prompts backlash

Reply in thread

Gendered chess tournaments make a certain amount of sense. The main issues are that women are less likely to play chess due to societal and cultural factors and without their own division would have even more societal and cultural roadblocks to joining the game. This isn't touching on how getting certain titles requires winning specific events that would prove even more difficult for those same reasons.

Basically without gendered tournaments there would be even less women in chess and it would be even more of a "boys club" than it already is.

Then it's unlikely you'll ever randomly happenstance into a relationship with someone.

You can either accept this, or try to change this. People aren't as set in stone as you think they are unless they want to be.

The prefix Allo just means other, so when you have a pair of things the other one will normally become Allo-thing. Because we don't make words the culturally accepted default position until there is something to contrast it with, most instances of Allo will describe the culturally accepted default.

Aromantic - Alloromantic

Asexual - Allosexual

Autistic - Allistic

the raven rule

Just a reminder that if they are an actual kitten you should be feeding them wet food once to twice a day depending on age and have dry food available at all times.

It's really hard for a kitten to over eat as they are growing so quickly that they need the calories to fuel that.
