This'd explain why inexperienced users of ai would inevitably get mediocre results. Still takes creativity to get stolen mediocrity.

I was looking into this earlier to try fixing a display that was being offset on an old tv screen. The display was going off the left side of the TV, causing a black bar on the right side.
I was trying xrandr, and fixed it somewhat by offsetting the display back, but somehow it did not fix the right side - it seemed as if the display had went under the black bar.
But yeah you can offset, stretch, skew and rotate with xrandr

5G coverage is bad enough as it is, I don't think 4G will go away anytime soon. 3G is already being phased out though.

Daily Discussion Thread: Wed 20 Dec 2023
The Adelaide community is pretty dead there, I wonder how often non-melbournians post here?
In other news, just did some shopping for the newest once removed cousins (thank you google, I could never understand family relationships), and I think purchasing those glow in the dark stars at Big W was a great idea. We'll see how it goes once I give it to their parents.

Kids and teens are inundated with phone prompts day and night
Reply in thread
That's the problem. Literally every app comes with notifications enabled by default. You need to explicitly customise the notifications in the app or via the phone's settings.
If we had a mode that blocked notifications by default like web browsers do, you'll inevitably get "you must enable notifications before you can continue to use this app"!

What cheap tool/gadget do you use that greatly improves your daily life?

Rinse after use, then its a matter of wiping down in hot soapy water.
Never let the debris dry in the food processor or you're gonna have a bad time. Same with blenders.
If you can't reach the crevices you can also run it with warm (not hot) soapy water to clean the crevices.

The neverending discussion about pasta, olive oil and just putting enough water... 10g salt, 100g pasta, at least 1L water e basta così ! No oil or you ruin the pasta/sauce synergy. 😃

The pasta water helps thicken the sauce and makes it more stickier, same way the cornstarch water slurry works.
