16 Democrats Just Voted to Confirm Another Trump Appointee
Reply in thread
mods have been deleting my comments that remind people that Biden and the Democrats gleefully committed genocide and lost the election for their refusal to even suggest they'll stop it.
When will people wake up and realize the Democrats are not on our side, not the lesser evil? They exist to give us an illusion that someone is fighting on our behalf, they exist to pacify us, they exist to allow capitalism to turn us into wage-slaves.
They'll take a knee with us, they'll give record breaking speeches, they'll march with us in the peaceful phases, they'll be on the front line even. They'll hold rallies and raise incredible amounts to "flight fascism", and then they'll step in line and vote to keep the wheel turning RIGHT.

Iran has spent decades building an arsenal of cheap drones that aren't really designed to hit targets, they are designed to financially cripple Israel by expending expensive iron dome charges.

You're white-washing Israel's genocidal society. They rioted in the streets and proudly protested on TV for the right to rape Palestinian prisoners.
This is genocidal mania.

You just haven't been paying attention. Israel is a fascist ethno-supremacist state from its very founding as a settler-colonial project.
"It would be an excellent idea to call in respectable, accredited anti-Semites as liquidators of [Jewish] property. To the people they would vouch for the fact that we do not want to bring about the impoverishment of the countries we leave. The anti-Semites will become our most dependable friends, the anti-Semitic countries our allies.”

You disagree with the current war, the entire world is on fire because of US imperialism and colonization, and you can't distance yourself from all the benefits and pride you get from the "good side" of America.
Just like you can't separate America from it's history of being built on the backs of slaves and the institutional oppression that still comes from that, you can't separate your current comforts as an American from their direct causes: oppression and stealing the resources of other nations and using all your "most deadly military's" best stealth bombers and biggest bombs to bully the world through threats of regime change and economic sanctions. Trump isn't what's bad about America, he's just an accelerated conclusion to neo-liberal politics, this is Bill Clinton's America!

Feddit.org officially announces they will ban criticism of Israel and pro-Palestinian posts and comments.

Is you want to understand the spirit of the rules, look no further past the first one:
Calling for the dissolution of Israel, or calling for a one-state solution without specifying equal rights for all people; Jewish in particular.
Why Jewish in particular? How is "equal rights for all people" compatible with "one group of people in particular"?
Jewish supremacism, Israel and Zionism is Jewish ISIS, and trying to hide that part of Israel and punish any discourse around that problem is fascism.
They may let you call Israel fascist in passing, but they won't let you describe its fascism, that is the bannable offense.

Actually, Firefox version numbers were totally independent for most of their history, but Mozilla recently adjusted them to roughly align with Chromium versions to reduce confusion for developers.
2004 - Firefox 1.0, no Chrome yet 2010 - Firefox 4.0, Chrome around version 8 2011 - Firefox switches to rapid releases 2020 - Firefox and Chrome both around version 85, just by coincidence 2024 - Firefox jumps from 124 to 126 to align with Chrome 126 2025 - Firefox 126+, Chrome 126+, version numbers now track similarly

Tesla’s European death spiral has no end in sight
Reply in thread
When the inevitable revolution is complete, Tesla needs to be socialized! People should really start talking about this and aiming for it seriously as a an end goal.
Tesla is manufactured locally and they've been heavily investing in building factories while all the other car makers went out. This is one of the things Tesla did right and why Elon was well loved by liberals, before he went all out as a Nazi.
And look the last thing I want to do right now is defend Elon's anything, and the Chinese EVs have really caught up, but Teslas are great EVs that are reliable but will be on the road and need service for decades to come.
Socialize and nationalize Tesla, it was built by the most talented American engineers and hard workers all for the profit of one Nazi and his family, let's fix that last bit.
Socialize Tesla. Take it back from the Nazi enemy of the state, give it back to the people who built it.

Unless you think about it of course, then you realize in reality actually only one country and its client-state currently goes around bombing other countries it doesn't even border and slaughtering civilians while celebrating it as "national security", and that's the US (and Israel, literal Jewish ISIS).

Musk says SpaceX will retire Dragon spacecraft amid bitter Trump dispute
Reply in thread
I've said this a long ago and kept getting downvoted... I'm all for kicking Elon by making fun of the CyberTruck and calling everything be touches shit, but Tesla and SpaceX have some of the smartest engineers in the world and they made a lot of good technology that would be too sad to throw away because a Nazi capitalist owned the companies.
Normalize the idea of nationalizing Tesla and SpaceX, we can actually get there.

The laser didn’t generate 2 quadrillion watts like a power plant would generate electricity, but it delivered that much power in an extremely short pulse, like 20 quadrillionths of a second.
That means the energy it delivered was relatively small (a few hundred joules), but because it was delivered in such a tiny time window, the power (which is energy per unit time) was immense.
The laser did produce power, in the form of intense light and heat, over a very small time period. It converted 2 quadrillion watts of electric energy into a very brief laser pulse.

Israel threatens Iran’s top leader after missiles damage hospital and wound more than 200
Reply in thread
No they didn't. Iran didn't bomb every hospital and clinic in Israel repeatedly, Iran didn't bomb Israel fertility centers, Iran didn't ambush and shoot doctors and bury their bodies, Iran didn't drone strike ambulances AFTER coordinating their movement. Iran didn't bulldoze graves of all the people it slaughtered to invade a hospital and destroy its water lines, Iran didn't evacuate hospitals at gun point and leave infants to starve to death alone in hospital beds. Iran didn't do any of that.
Israel did all that, and more, and they bragged about it very loudly and posted all the evidence themselves.

U.S. Secretary of Commerce says the ‘new model’ is factory jobs for life—for you, your kids, and your grandkids
Reply in thread
Yes, they will. You know what else will happen with community farms?
You don't need to long-haul your produce thousands of miles.
You reduce fossil fuel usage associated with transportation and refrigeration.
You significantly cut packaging waste (plastic wraps, cartons, trays).
You eliminate or drastically reduce food spoilage during transit.
You lower dependency on chemical preservatives needed for extended shelf life.
You avoid industrial-scale pesticide and herbicide use that damages ecosystems.
You decrease water waste from large-scale irrigation systems.
You eliminate excessive food processing required for preservation and transport.
You prevent large-scale soil degradation and erosion due to monoculture practices.
You reduce greenhouse gas emissions from heavy machinery and vehicles.
You minimize biodiversity loss caused by vast monocrop fields.
You eliminate food waste from standardized aesthetic requirements (rejecting imperfect produce).
You avoid the environmental harm and fossil fuel use from massive refrigerated storage facilities.
You reduce deforestation and habitat destruction associated with industrial farming expansion.
You significantly lower the risks of large-scale disease outbreaks and contamination.
You reduce reliance on genetically modified crops engineered solely for transport durability.
You prevent nutrient loss in produce caused by prolonged storage and transport times.
You reduce economic vulnerabilities associated with centralization and supply-chain disruptions.
You mitigate community health risks by providing fresher, nutrient-rich produce.
You reduce noise, air, and water pollution associated with industrial farming machinery and processes.
children dying of pellagra must die because a profit cannot be taken from an orange. And coroners must fill in the certificate- died of malnutrition- because the food must rot, must be forced to rot
Community farms are precisely about correcting this injustice. There's so much watse in "profit", and profit keeps growing.
