Agreed. This is a good idea overall, but the implementation smells like a bailout of commercial real estate developers to me.

Dude isn’t even a political appointee. He’s a regular old career civil servant (GS-15 to be precise) who pretends he’s far more important than he is. He is a walking hatch act violation and I hope he eventually rots in prison and loses his pension.

It’s things like this that make me think the big automakers will eventually come out on top in the EV space.

Also, I wonder whether the extreme weight of electric vehicles has been factored into insurance premiums yet. I would think they would cause a lot more damage in collisions due to being so much heavier than other vehicles.

Sadly, both Home Depot and Target have “marketplaced” their online stores as well, so you have to sort through the garbage just like Amazon.

This is the best conditions will be for the foreseeable future. Stupid to not get underway

I’m certainly suspicious of them intentionally not fixing some performance bugs until later to encourage people to upgrade now that the new phones are launching.

The fact that the battery drain has gotten worse with the final iOS 17.0 version is what really made me suspicious and why I wanted to see what others have experienced.

The joke is on them (or, really, me) because I have a 15 pro arriving tomorrow anyways.

Re: enshittification - I totally agree that they’ve ruined what Etsy was actually good for and now they’re just milking it dry. It’s all generic, mass produced crap now and the search result ads within their site are incredibly obtrusive.

And how many people are buying no-name Chinese supplement brands on Amazon, too. It blows my mind that people buy stuff they put in their body from those brands. I wonder if people just assume that they’re regulated/inspected like food or real drugs.

Also happy to pitch in.

I’ve seen the same with my series 6. I would usually end the day around 35% and now it is under 10%

I’ve picked up 1350s from Woot and Costco online.

Walmart’s brand, Ozark Trail, makes great stainless cups/tumblers and rotomolded coolers, too. But we all know half the appeal of Yeti is the branding flex, so other brands just won’t do for a lot of folks.

After a flight 10 years ago where we had to circle for 30+ mins before landing and I thought I was gonna piss myself, I ALWAYS piss right before descent if a flight is longer than 45 mins or so.

T-Mobile will issue an E-SIM for their prepaid service. I have used it as a secondary network within the past year to supplement the poor Verizon coverage in certain areas. Check their site for details
