So disappointing. I clicked on this hoping your userscript would teach me German.

Kbin's "Log in" bug is discouraging me from participating
I've found that if you open up a bunch of kbin tabs, it helps to refresh each one immediately before interacting with it. I'm guessing there's some token that expires far too easily.

How often do you turn federation off?
I leave it on, and it hasn't occurred to me to try turning it off. I'm not sure why I'd want it off.

meme i made that is also very true for me lol
It's the default on reddit because you should like your own content in almost all cases.
I do it too, though I'll then change it to a downvote if I say something which is later demonstrated to be wrong.

Thousands of Reddit Communities Stay Dark as App Policy Protest Continues

That's not entirely correct. For-profit companies thrive when they serve their customers well. Since Reddit's for-profit and yet its users are not its customers, the result is bad for users. But that doesn't mean companies with better business models are equally bad. The beautiful thing about a free market is that competition drives bad companies out of business.

Yes, everyone whose point of view differs from yours must obviously be inferior to you.

I don't condone murder under any circumstances. But using 56 murders as an excuse to silence anyone online is a disgrace to the principle of free speech.

You're talking about old-school reddiquette, which even reddit itself forgot eons ago: upvote well thought-out comments even if you disagree with them. And I actually do that to a degree, even if I dislike the author's point. But if I think the comment is wrong in some way then I downvote it. That's not to say I want the author silenced, just that the down button is there to be used sometimes.

I was active in r/Conservative, and here I'm the primary contributer to m/Conservative. Hi, nice to meet you. When I'm engaged in arguments involving the word "fascist", it's rarely me using that word (unless we're literally discussing Mussolini), and usually me who's called that for favoring levelheaded conservative principles. I enjoy mutually respectful debate, but I find most others prefer to fearfully call me a "fascist," downvote everything I've ever written, block me, and walk away feeling sanctimonious.

Yes, with the major difference being that Bing is a cringy awful name, whereas Bink is a fun anagram of kbin.

A good password manager does far more than Firefox's built-in. Among the many things it does is sync across devices. Personally I like Bitwarden a lot, and there are several others out there that are good too.

I don't have a source — it's just an observation based on my personal experience. The fine art world, musicians, and the entertainment industry lean left. You can find conservative painters, bands, and movies, but the default disposition for creatives is leftism. It's a personality thing. Creatives think outside the box, and push boundaries. Given the choice between something traditional and something radically new, creatives are apt to choose something radically new. So there's a correlation between the kind of aesthetic backdrop that might inspire a painting and the kind of people who tend to enjoy breaking tradition.
I've never heard that leftists rate as happier, and tbh that surprises me. My experience is that religious folks tend to be happier, and there are more religious folks on the Right.
With regards to urban versus rural, you have a good point. But cities along the West Coast and the inland places I mentioned became urban due to a confluence of people moving to a beautiful place.
If you have a rural town with a shockingly beautiful backdrop, before long there'll be oil painters, then art galleries, then hipster coffee shops, then yoga studios, and then the local socialist party headquarters. That's a bit hyperbolic, but there's some truth to it.
