Wide receiver Amari Cooper has informed the Raiders that he intends to retire just days before the team will open the 2025 season at New England.

Free agent wide receiver Amari Cooper is returning to the Raiders on a one-year contract, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Coach Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler have been let go.

The Raiders linebackers coach Antonio Pierce will serve as Head Coach. The assistant GM Champ Kelly will serve as GM.

"I look myself in the mirror and I'm like, 'I'm not going to just be a dude from Eastern that made the NFL and had a pretty good career.' I'm like, 'I'm going to go be the best. I don't care what it takes.'"
