Threats, corruption and intimidation: Is the Bishnoi gang calling shots at Cricket Canada?

A major CBC investigation has exposed deep-rooted corruption and violence within Cricket Canada, alleging that the organization has been infiltrated by the Bishnoi gang, a designated terrorist group in Canada. Sources report that these criminals are using death threats and intimidation against players and administrators to manipulate team selection and protect specific individuals. The situation has escalated to direct physical violence, including two separate shootings at the home of a former Cricket Canada board member and a provincial administrator requiring police protection for weeks. Beyond these security concerns, the report highlights widespread match fixing allegations during the T20 World Cup and systemic financial mismanagement, leaving fear that organized crime has seized control of the sport at its highest levels.

ICC playing conditions updated. Plus my thoughts

Stop Clock in Test Cricket: I think giving the bowling team a lil time to discuss plans is a good thing, you get better cricket out of it. But time is an issue, so how do you cut it? Easy, bowl 2 overs from each end. Inspiration from the hundred. The time you're cutting this way is from the end change and field change (plus ads which is why it hasn't happened) instead of strategizing and players taking a sip of water.

Saliva rule: What a bullshit in between move, its not legal to do but if you do it, meh, we dont care. Although OK listening to their reasoning it's a reasonable rule. I just prefer if we remove saliva and sweat and offer some sort of saline solution or smth which the umpire holds and the players can use, the only substance allowed to touch the ball.

DRS protocol: I like it. Always wanted it.

Combined reviews: I preferred the older method. I'm very pro bowling if you can't tell lol.

Fairness of catch: Fixes a problem that needed fixing. Good decision.

Deliberate short run: I like it.

Subs (in domestic cricket, possibly): Finally (slippery slope though). I prefer proper subs to injury subs.

ICC changes two-ball rule and concussion sub protocols in men's ODIs

Will do anything but invest in developing the balls or using the pink balls.

Keep making these ludicrous changes.

ICC ought to have their own ball developing company. Make your own balls for ICC events. I think baseball does the same. And in no sport is the ball as important as cricket.

I'm also shocked at how devoid of creativity the 3 big companies are. I would've expected SG for example to have worked on a faux leather ball. Or just an alternate material. Not like the laws prohibit it.

If ICC dk nothing but organize events, surely they would have the time to add one task to their organisation.
