ATSC 3.0 is coming: TV antenna users should prepare for chaos
This week, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) passed a notice of proposed rulemaking that’s designed to allow broadcast TV stations to adopt the emerging ATSC 3.0 broadcast standard more quickly. If the FCC enacts these rule changes, broadcasters will no longer need to support the ATSC 1.0 standard that works with most TVs and tuners. Instead, they’ll be able to scale back their ATSC 1.0 coverage and even switch over to the new standard entirely.

EDIT: I mean directly from the box, NO casting from a phone or tablet.
All their channels are on-air via Livestream - here's an example - but a couple of years ago the parent company Vimeo discontinued their app for Roku, they just digitally yanked it out of our streaming boxes.
Free apps or websites that will broadcast local cable live?
I'm living in a van, currently and sometimes I just want basic, local channels to watch sports and local news. I have zero need for something like FUBO or YoutubeTV and I really don't want to add yet another device into the mix.
Anyway, is there really no website or app where I can put on the Channel 7 news at night? I actually paid the $7 for Paramount+ last night for my Celtics, only to realize ABC isn't included.
recording OTA shows?
Other than TiVo, what options do I have for recording OTA programs? I've been playing with Plex and rip my episodal DVDs, and would like to record, too.
