[OC] A snippet from a Historical Fantasy story I'm writing about the Witch Trials.

I hope original content is allowed here! The story takes place in Salem, MA, during the Witch Trials. This is some dialogue I just wrote today, so likely not final. It is a 100% fictional inquisition by the non-fictional Reverend Parris of Salem Village.

As you may gather, I like to have some fun with the dialogue here and there. Link is below.

FableAI and Eragon.

So I found an app called FableAI which allows you to choose a story of theirs, or do your own. I chose to do my own, Eragon, and wow!!! The story is so different!!! I won’t spoil the differences, cuz people have never read the books, but if you wanna be terrified/entertained, or you wanna see what you can come up with, give this a try. I’d love to hear about your adventures.

Eragon remake.

What, if anything, are you looking forward to in the Disney Plus remake of Eragon? Me, personally? I hated Galbatorix and the way he was in the cursed movie. Then, there’s Angela. She doesn’t talk in the third person! And, as the books go on, she has more of a prominent role. But the movie makes it seem like she’s just some random person Eragon happens upon. So now I leave it to you to tell what you’d love to see in the remake. 😊

Things you can’t wait to see in the Harry Potter reboot?

Peeves!!!! More of Luna. Voldemort’s memories and Dumbledore’s past. Also, they fucked up Grinduald’s redemption ark in the movie.

What they can keep: The wand-breaking. My besty and I have very different oppinions about this, but mine is that I liked it. Think about it. If Harry becomes a dark wizard catcher, he can pretty easily be disarmed and lose the elder wand, even if it’s stashed in Dumbledore’s office. Broken, it can never be found and no one will ever have it. Going backwards a bit to The Goblet of Fire, Dumbledore screaming at Harry can fucking go. And then there’s the overly crazy dragon scene. Yikes. It didn’t happen like that. Oof. Also, the subplots are just as important. Yet they’re hardly touched on. Order of the Phoenix was fine. Let’s keep movie Sirius though. Book Sirius is too grumpy. Also, much as I hate his death, I hate even more that it was done wrong in the movies. Half-Blood Prince was too comedic and focused too much on relationship shit. Deathly Hallows was fine. Deathly Hallows 2? My only complaint is that Voldemort was not a god, and shouldn’t have died like one.

That’s it. I realize this was kinda all over the place but yeah. Those are my thoughts and I’m sticking to it.

Just finished The Inheritance Cycle and here are my thoughts.

First, I’m impressed with that series!! It’s such a great book!! I would start reading and then, before I knew it, hours went by. 🛡️⚔️ Now, Admitedly I knew how it would end. Thanks, Reddit. But I also wanted to see it for myself. I absolutely loved the fight scenes. Especially when Roran was fighting. He’s a great warrior!! Mertagh, I like, but that’s because he does kinda redeem himself at the end, and I’m beyond grelieved that he changed his ways. I was scared for a bit. There’s something that happens in the second book that scares me to death, and I really don’t wanna see it in the Disney Plus series that’s happening, but I feel certain that we will. My besty said Inheritance gets gruesome but I didn’t have a problem getting through it. I can’t wait for Mertagh to come out. I’m also excited to see what he has planned for Angela.

Just one very weird Twilight fact before I go to bed.

CW: vampire dismemberment. Twilight fact: Vampire venom is like glue. When a vampire looses a limb, if they get their limb back, all they have to do is lick the part where the limb attaches, then reattach the limb in question. This does not work on hair. Sarah, a newborn in Eclipse, got into a fight and had a bald spot… at least till she was killed. Source: Eclipse/The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.

Your fantasy favorites and why?

Pretty self-explanitory. I love Twilight, Harry Potter; and the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini! I can’t wait to finish the last book in the series and to see what Disney Plus does with the series. It’s gotta be better than that thing we don’t talk about. Lol. As far as Twilight goes, I’m team Alice. I won’t judge if you’re not, though. Haha. My favorite book in that series is probably the first, just because that’s the most mysterious. Favorite movie is probably Breaking Dawn 2, because I love Renesmee and I love/hate the battle at the end. Harry Potter is tricky. Love all the books and movies for different reasons, but my least favorites are Half-Blood Prince and Goblet of Fire. The ladder because insert the infamous “Dumbledore asked calmly” meme here and also, it just had a lot of unnecessary dragon stuff. And property damage. Half-Blood Prince is because it hardly focused on who the prince was. It was all about relationships and the romance. Also, the random destruction of the Weasley house made no sense to me. So anyway, what about y’all?
