I gathered 33 cool wallpapers for your Linux desktop | Link in body

Hi I gathered free wallpapers online, and I organized them, each folder has the wallpaper pic, and a link that goes to that wallpaper's website where you can see the wallpaper and the creator.

You can preview and download the wallpapers here

If that didn't worked you can use this one (basically the same): https://app.filen.io/#/f/9f6c71f4-6bd6-4a98-8db3-1a867b6c2479#XaGwOKCc5z7dahFyugZ9qcV3Mf6r75iZ

All thanks to the creators of the wallpapers. I didn't created any of those wallpapers and all original credit goes to the creators themselves on Unsplash, I just downloaded them and organized them.

I am finally content with my desktop

A Nobara Linux Desktop running KDE Plasma 6 with system stats using a vaporwave color scheme on the left, a drop-down terminal named Yakuake showing neofetch, a completely borderless browser window showing a Deezer web app on the center bottom, and weather and audio widgets on the right. The desktop background is animated with a wallpaper engine plugin, showing a cyberpunk city with the silhouettes of a few people rummaging through a giant heap of tech scraps, with one figure standing on top and looking into the bright city lights. Light fog is moving over the scene while it rains.

I made a little sorta Windows Aero-esque app launcher icon for Arch Linux.

For reasons unknown, this file and only this file is highlighted on hover. Nothing else works, not even the default icon. It's also a little small, but I don't know how to change that.

Also, this was like my second time using Inkscape to make something, so be nice. Arch Linux icon vector graphic is from...gonna be real, I forget. I made this months ago.

Hopefully the animated webp loads.

Here's a link to the icon. https://github.com/DaforLynx/arch-linux-applauncher-icon

Transform your boring Linux Terminal looks with this guide

Video / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRGzYzgWFwM

  • Follow the video but make sure to install the right packages for your distro.

  • I recommend watching the video fully first and then start doing the actual customizing just so you have a clear idea of what you are going to do.

  • Make sure to backup your system and data before doing anything if you are unexperienced.

  • Try not to ask ChatGPT for help, that thing will ruin your system.

!I didn't made the video but I used that video to customize my own terminal!<

!The pic above is not mine, thanks to Jordi Adoumie!<

First post and here is my previous Linux Mint's desktop - What are your thoughts?

What you say about them?

Edit: The window animations is called “Burn My Windows” by CinnamonBurnMyWindows@klangman. Its an extension you can grab it by going to the settings > extensions > and search for Burn My Windows. You can also customize it to a lot of things. In my case I used "Aura Glow" For opening and closing windows. And I used "Focus" for minimizing and unminimizing windows.

The other widget which says "Guess What" Its called conky, you can customize it to whatever you like, but I could not add the weather function for some reason.
