"We understand that it may be a meme, but please refrain from this behavior for the safety of your health."

"Pleads."

It is occasionally amusing to go to Wikipedia's manual of style "words to watch" page:

This page in a nutshell: Be cautious with expressions that may introduce bias, lack precision, or include offensive terms. Use clear, direct language. Let facts alone do the talking.

Then look at some news headlines and see how many of them violate the rules on that page. Headlines are shit.

To be fair, that's about as "pleading" as you'll get from a legal team trying to cover Valve's ass.

Either way, Gaben's not my dad (unfortunately), so I'll do what I want! Sniiiiiffff

"What made you upgrade to the OLED?"

"Because I couldn't smell it anymore."

I thought I knew a thing or two about cancerous online news sites, but IGN has exceeded all the expectations. Any attempt to scroll down activates a redirect to the localized czech version of the site. Not only is there no dark mode, they are trying to pass the authorsip of the translation to the real human, despite the article being clearly translated by a machine.

Heh, same happened to me. In the end I cancelled loading while it wasn't fully loaded and that helped.

I guess the guy they credited with the translation used AI without them knowing.

Sniffing the fumes has become part of playing games on the deck.

Heated components could absolutely be producing fumes

You wouldn't smell it if it was pure air. It's VOCs from the inks, plastics, solder flux, thermal paste, etc

I don't think there's anything there capable of making ozone. My guess is it's the heat-sink compound outgassing?

7

Well, I needed to remind myself, but it seems to be a mix of thermal pad oil and warm plastic...

You reached the end
